Hi, I’m Tyler Simmons, the founder and owner of Witness Photography. I am a Marine Corps and Navy Veteran who has recently come off of Active Duty after an 11 year career. I have extensive photography experience as I served as a Criminal Investigator for 6 of my 9 years in the Marine Corps. I was trained and certified to work forensic photography at the Army Criminal Investigation Division Special Agent Course in Fort Lenoard Wood, MO in 2017. Later, I received specialized photography training at the National Forensic Science Technology Center in Tampa, FL. I served in two combat deployments to the Middle East as part of Operation Inherent Resolve, where I worked in forensics and took thousands of pictures in support of counter terrorism operations.

I am currently working toward my Master of Divinity degree at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, after which I plan on ordaining as a pastor in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. My beautiful wife, Rachel, and I have been married for 11 years and have 4 children.

My confirmation verse was Philippians 2:13 “For it is God who works in you, to will and to act according to His good purpose.” I have seen God’s hand in leading me to where I am now, and could not be happier with the way He has directed my life. I have a vision of creating a business model in which businesses seek to do more than simply provide a service, but rather serve as a conduit for community building. This is why I do everything in my power to offer affordable prices, in order to allow everyone to have access to professional pictures.
